Holy Water

According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, the holy water is ‘a natural symbol of purification, water that has been used by religious peoples as a means of removing uncleanness, either ritual or moral’. I don’t believe in God, and I don’t go to church but I do see the body through some sort of divine perspective. It owns a skin that can regenerate by itself, fluids that can purify or give life; creation and destruction take turns in a cyclical movement. ‘Holy Water’ has the focus on sweat intended as the distilled essence of a human being; its pure and authentic smell forged by all their experiences. Licking sweat is an act of devotion, absorbing someone else’s scent in a primal and almost animalistic way. It is a pagan communion.
